Day 01 Sunday Nairobi 
JAMBO - KARIBU!!
Welcome to Nairobi, Kenya, the Safari Capital of the world!
Join your safari group at the Stanley Hotel.

Overnight: The Stanley Hotel (since 1902)
Note: transfers will be arranged    
 
Day 02 Monday Nairobi 
After breakfast enjoy a day tour that includes a visit to the Daphne Sheldrick's 
elephant orphanage, lunch at the Karen Blixen Coffee Garden Restaurant and a visit to the Karen Blixen Museum; once the home of the Danish author of 'Out of Africa'. Next we'll visit the Giraffe Centre for a chance to interact with Africa’s tallest animal, the Rothschild giraffe, and visit the Kazuri beads craft centre before returning to Nairobi. In the evening enjoy a welcome dinner at the Manji family home (your Kenyan tour company's owner), a special evening and perfect end to our day.

Day 03 Tuesday Nairobi/Amboseli National Park  
Enjoy breakfast before transferring to the Wilson airport for your flight to Amboseli National Park. The Tortilis Camp guide driver will meet you at the airstrip for transfer to the camp. This afternoon you will take part in your first game viewing drive. Amboseli is home to lions, buffalo, cheetah, giraffe, baboon, gazelle, hippo and wildebeest. It is also an ornithological paradise with over 400 species of birds, flora and fauna and some of the most soul-searing views in Africa.

Day 04 Wednesday Amboseli National Park
Morning and afternoon game viewing drives. Amboseli's scenery includes one of the best places landscape views of Mount Kilimanjaro (weather permitting). The park is famous for her large herds of giant elephants.

Day 05 Thursday Amboseli National Park – Paxtu home and final resting place of Lord and Lady Baden Powell
Enjoy breakfast then transfer to the airstrip for your flight to Nairobi. Board your safari land cruiser and proceed to Nyeri, arriving at the Outspan hotel for lunch. Outspan is located in Nyeri town, right in the heart of Kenya’s tea and coffee growing highlands. 
The hotel was built in 1926 and was once home to Lord and Lady Baden Powell, founders of the Scout and Girl Guide movements. Their cottage 'Paxtu' is now a museum that is open to visitors, and visited by scouts and guides from from around the world.

Day 06 Friday Amboseli / The Ark, Aberdare National Park
After breakfast you will proceed to Aberdare National Park, stopping 
for lunch at Aberdare Country Club, before boarding the bus to ‘The Ark’.  Spend the afternoon evening and much of the night, game viewing from the lodge balconies. The water-hole attracts a wide variety of wildlife species who come to drink, bath or enjoy the salt lick.

Day 07 Saturday Aberdare National Park – Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Enjoy breakfast then depart to the 'Ol Pajeta Private Ranch'. Situated on the Equator, with a stunning backdrop of the majestic Mount Kenya, this 90,000 acre wildlife conservancy boasts of an astounding variety of animals. This afternoon enjoy an afternoon game drive. The combination of amazing wildlife and stunning views across the open plains of Ol Pejeta guarantees an unforgettable safari experience.

Day 08 Sunday Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Enjoy a full day of game viewing drives and adventure. Visit the Chimpanzee Sanctuary that provides a lifelong refuge to orphaned Chimpanzees from West and Central Africa.

Overnight: Sweetwaters Tented Camp

Day 09 Monday Ol Pejeta Conservancy – Lake Nakuru National Park
Today you drive to Lake Nakuru National Park with a brief stop at the Thompson's Falls. Enjoy a leisurely lunch and an afternoon game drive. The park offers opportunities to view various animal species including prides of lion, cape buffalo, waterbucks, wart hogs, the endangered Rothschild giraffes, the black and white rhinos, the Burchell’s zebra, impalas, and the elusive leopard among many others. Over 300 bird species have been recorded here too.

Day 10 Tuesday Lake Nakuru National Park to Masai Mara Game Reserve
It is time to travel to the Masai Mara National Reserve. You arrive at the camp in time for lunch and some leisure. The Masai Mara's rolling plains and grasslands stretch as far as the eye can see and is the home to the black-manned lion, savannah elephant, cape buffalo, wildebeest, elusive leopard, cheetah, spotted & striped hyena, rhino, topi, Burchelle’s zebra, and the Masai giraffe among many others.

Overnight: Sarova Mara Tented Camp

Day 11 & 12 Wednesday & Thursday Masai Mara Game Reserve
Enjoy two days of game viewing drives & adventure. Be on the lookout for the big five that Masai Mara is famous for. Visit the Masai village (Masai Manyatta) with an opportunity to interact with these nomadic people.

Overnight: Sarova Mara Tented Camp (3 nights)

OPTIONAL ACTIVITY: Balloon Safari over the Mara plains followed by a champagne breakfast 

Day 13 Friday Masai Mara Game Reserve to Nairobi for those not continuing on to Tanzania.
It is time to say farewell to the Masia Mara. After breakfast you will transfer to the Ole Kiombo airstrip for your flight to Nairobi. On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel for your last night this trip in Africa.

Day 14 Saturday Homebound fight 
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel followed by transfer to the Jomo Kenyatta International airport for your flight home.

Day 13 Friday Masai Mara to Ngorngoro Crater 
After breakfast transfer by a safari vehicle to the Namanga border of Tanzania. Say goodbye to the Kenyan drivers and say hello to your Tanzanian drivers. A stop at Arusha for lunch, then drive to the Ngorngoro Crater and your accommodation for the next two nights.

Day  14 Saturday Ngorngoro Conservation Area - Serengeti National Park
After breakfast you descend some 600 metres into the crater, home to an abundance of wildlife and a photogenic paradise; for a full day of game-viewing drive with picnic lunch. Ngorongoro Crater, the largest intact caldera in the world, teams with an abundance of wildlife who permanently reside on the crater floor. Prides of lions, herds of Cape buffalo, rhino, golden & black-backed jackal, zebra, hippo, cheetah, leopard and the spotted hyena freely roam on the crater floor plains. The crater is also a home to hundreds of bird species, who can be found refreshing in the small lakes in the crater floor. Unmatched for its natural variety & breath-taking beauty, there are few places on earth where such a tremendous diversity of landscapes exist inside a region this size. Apart from its wildlife riches, the crater is also of great archaeological importance, with the remains of some of mankind’s earliest ancestors discovered in the area.

Day  15  Sunday  Ngorngoro Conservation Area - Serengeti National Park
After breakfast depart to Serengeti National Park with a brief stop at the Olduvai Gorge, one of the most important prehistoric sites in the world to learn about human evolution. Enjoy an on informative talk about the interpretation of the gorge by the resident guide before continuing onto Serengeti Sopa Lodge for lunch. This afternoon experience game viewing at Serengeti National Park, which covers an area of 14,763 square kilometres.  The world famous Serengeti National Park is Tanzania's oldest park, and one of the world's last great wildlife refuges. The Serengeti ecosystem supports the greatest remaining concentration of plains game in Africa, including more than three million large mammals.

Day  16  Monday Serengeti National Park
Enjoy a full day of game viewing drives. In the early morning and evening light the Serengeti landscape is stunningly beautiful. The park is home to the black-manned lion, the savannah elephant, Cape buffalo, wildebeests, leopard, cheetah, spotted & stripped hyena, rhino, topi, burchelle’s zebra, and the Masai giraffe among many others.  Serengeti is also home to hundreds of bird species including the ostrich and bizarre secretary bird, and the black eagles.

OPTIONAL ACTIVITY: Dawn Balloon Safari over the Serengeti plains ending with a champagne breakfast.

Day  17  Tuesday Serengeti National Park to Nairobi
This morning after breakfast you check-out. Unbelievable but true, your visit with Tanzania's rich diversity has come to an end. You bid farewell, transfer to the Seronera airstrip for your flight to Arusha where you will enjoy a picnic lunch before heading to the Kilimanjaro International airport for your flight to Nairobi. You will meet you at the Wilson airport and transferred to the Ole Sereni Hotel, Nairobi for your last night in Africa with Going Places Together.

Day  18 Wednesday Depart Kenya for home
Today you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight home.
