The wonderful women who want to share the world with you!

Meet your tour escorts. The women who lead my tours are past travellers, friends, people with a special interest who I feel would help you to experience your destination by sharing with you their interest, heritage, special knowledge, or just plain enthusiasm for travel. They are all "Wendy Women!"

Meet Michele:

Michele is a Canadian who has spent the last 13 years living overseas –
first in The Netherlands and now in South Africa. She has been lucky to
work in international environments and travel extensively for work and
play. Michele enjoys exploring other cultures through sights, sounds,
people, language, food, drink, books, etc. She has experienced the personal touch of Going Places Together tours in India and Kenya and looks forward to ensuring this special nature is maintained when she introduces you to her new home in South Africa.

Meet Teresa

Teresa is a Colombian who has been living in India for the last 15 years. She first went to India to work at Sangam- One of four World Centres of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts. She then married Pankaj and made Pune her home. She loves travelling in India and sharing her understanding of the Indian culture with those who are seeking an experience beyond the mere tourist feel.

Meet Donna:

Donna is a very busy mother of 2 grown children who works part time , knits till all hours of the night, loves her weekly painting class and when time and money permit she LOVES to travel. Having been to India, Kenya, Mexico, Denmark, France and England over the last 10 years she is ready to share her love of tavelling with you.

Meet Elaine:
She is a wife, a mother, and a grandmother who loves to travel. Her passions are her family, reading, gardening, travelling, art, music, theatre, cooking, eating and drinking, great food and wine! The order depends on the day! She has reached a point in her life where new and exciting experiences are more important to her than acqusitions and so she was thrilled with the opportunity to travel both with her longtime friend Nancy and as a group leader for her!

Meet Helen,
Helen is a 40 something year young woman with a husband, grown
children, soon to be grandmother and a passion for travel! She is the President of a small
janitorial company and in her spare time volunteers with Girl Guides and sits on local Municipal committes. She is a Reiki Master/Teacher and a Shambala Multidimensional Healing practioner and teacher. Her insatiable
appetite for books concerning spiritual and the metaphysical aspect
of our world, has given her much insight to the cultures that exist
throughout the globe that are very much different to those in the
"New World". To visit these ancient sites and to "feel" the energy of
those who walked the halls and roads of these cultures leads to
further understanding of the human race and it's history and most importantly, personal growth.

Meet Joelyn

When people she knows or meet ask if there is any place she hasn't been to,
she smile and says "of course, there are still scads of places to see and
experience!" Travelling is something that is very important to her.
Her first summer job, when she was 15, was just to save up enough
money to go on the school trip the next year. The fact that she didn't
know where the school was planning to go; was not important she just wanted to be part of that group! They went to Italy for 10 days over
March break, staying in Rome and Florence, with a side
trip to Sienna. Awesome! Since then she has been to many parts
of the world. She led groups of teenagers to many countries in Europe,
usually Eurailing their way around, sometimes by private coach. She also took a group of women to India, another group to New
Zealand, Samoa, and Fiji, and the latest group to Ireland on a combined
walking and bus tour. The last three for Going Places Together. On her own, she has travelled to Vietnam,Venezuela, Israel, Slovakia,
Hong Kong, Colombia, and Norway. As much as she would like to be a
full-time traveller and tour leader, she hasn't won the lottery yet,
so she pays for her adventures by working full-time for the federal government in the field of human resources. Much of her spare time is given
to the Girl Guides, planning for the next trip and trying to renovate her old
house.

Meet Moira:

Moira was born and raised in Scotland. After a few years in the work force she was given the chance to work in Kenya. Her life long love of travelling and adventure had begun! She came to Canada in 1967 where she raised her now grown family. Two years ago she semi-retired as a Laboratory Technologist giving her time to pursue her hobbies; researching her family tree, camping, walking, knitting, quilting and travelling. Her recent travels included India, Kenya, China and Nepal, with Going Places Together. She is looking forward to sharing her love of travel and adventure with you.
