Day 04 September 17, 2020 Samos to Sarria (14km) (B)
Your first day of walking will be a good warm up as your distance to cover is only 14 km. Before leaving Samos, you will have a chance to explore the town with its very old monastery. The route itself is along a river and across ancient forests of oaks, chestnut and walnut trees. Your hotel in Sarria is well situated, modern and comfortable and within easy walking distance of one of the many local restaurants where you can enjoy a typical Galician dinner, famous for its simplicity but high-quality ingredients.
Meals: Breakfast
Overnight:  Hotel Oca Villa de Sarria or similar

Day 05 September 18, 2020 Sarria to Portomarin (B) (23km) Today we continue walking up and down the hills of Galicia through forests and rural landscape to reach the town of Portomarin, situated over the River Miño. Due to a reservoir being built on this river in 1962, the town of Portomarin was moved, leaving the old town under water (and visible below as you cross the bridge that leads you to the “new” town). The old church was moved stone by stone to the new location. This church is a good example of a fortress church with towers and battlements, very typical of the military orders that guarded the Camino in the middle ages and protected the pilgrims from thieves.
Meals: Breakfast
Overnight: Hotel Villajardin or similar

Portomarin                                            Waymarker Sarria to Portomarin

Day 06 September 19, 2020 Portomarin to Palas de Rei (25km) (B)
The first leg of today’s walk is uphill as you make your way up to the village of Ventas de Naron. There will be plenty of places to stop along the way to enjoy a break, a picnic or to talk to locals and other walkers. From Ventas de Naron the walk is gentler. You are now halfway into your trek and will end the day with an overnight just outside the town of Palas de Rei.
Meals: Breakfast
Overnight: Hotel Complejo la Cabaña

Day 07 September 20, 2020 Palas de Rei to Melide (14km) (B)
Today’s walk is through very beautiful, rural countryside of Galicia. Those who have travelled through Ireland before may feel like they’re in a different country! You will cross several old bridges on your way to tonight’s overnight destination of Melide. While in town, make sure to try its local speciality, pulpo - an octopus dish that has become one of the signature foods of the Camino de Santiago.
Meals: Breakfast
Overnight: Hotel Carlos 96 or similar

Day 08 September 21, 2020 Melide to Arzua (15km) (B)
Today you will carry on walking through hilly terrain, as you pass through many hamlets full of rural life. It’s very likely that you will come across a local moving their cattle from one field to another. Tonight’s overnight stop will be the town of Arzua, known for its cheese production.
Meals: Breakfast
Overnight: Hotel O Retiro or similar

Day 09 September 22, 2020 Arzua to Pedrouzo (19km)
(B)
During today’s walk your anticipation will surely build as this will be your second last day on the Camino! You may also notice more and more pilgrims sharing the path. Tonight, you will stay at a modern and conveniently located pensión in Pedrouzo where there are plenty of places to eat.
Meals: Breakfast
Overnight: Pensión Platas or similar

Santiago Cathedral

Day 10 September 23, 2020 Pedrouzo to Santiago de Compostela (20km) (B,D)
Today is your last day on the Camino! You will make your way through forest and rural areas to the famous Monte do Gozo, where you will catch your first glimpse of the towers of the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. From here you only have 5 more kilometres to the Plaza do Obradoiro, where all pilgrims celebrate their longed arrival surrounded by the beautiful facade of the cathedral and old stone buildings lining the square. Tonight, you will celebrate with your group over a good table on an included special dinner including drinks.

Enjoy the lively university city of Santiago that is probably even more beautiful at night than during the day when the lights illuminate the stone buildings. Your hotel for the evening is very close to the city centre and is a modern and comfortable building. You will not have to queue to get your pilgrimage certification because this holiday includes both the pilgrim passport where you collect the stamps to prove your journey and the official pilgrimage certificate that you can get at the end.
Meals: Breakfast, Dinner (with drinks)
Overnight: Hotel la Salle or similar

Day 11 September 24, 2020 Santiago de Compostela to Finisterre  (B)
Today you have the morning to carry on exploring Santiago de Compostela. After lunch we will take a private transfer to the fishing village of Finisterre. From here we suggest walking the last 3 kms to the cape of Finisterre with its lighthouse with amazing views of the Atlantic Ocean. Many pilgrims prolong their pilgrimage to this point, believed for centuries to be the End of the World. Some pilgrims burn their boots and clothes at the Cape as they watch the sun go down to symbolize a fresh start in their lives. Walk back to your hotel in Finisterre village for dinner or take a taxi.
Meals: Breakfast
Overnight: Hotel Mar de Finisterra or similar

Day 12 September 25, 2020 Finisterre to Madrid (B)
